As you all know, Covid-19 has impacted students massively. We have had to adapt to a new way of life and learning in such a short amount of time. Therefore, this blog post should provide you with some tips on how to ease the transition from teaching on campus to learning at home. 🏠
1. Setting
Ensure that you have a quiet place where you can work undisturbed. However, this isn’t always available for everyone. If this is the case, pack up everything you need and make the most of the sunny weather by studying in a local park. This will provide you with a change of scenery and the fresh air will also help you concentrate! ☀️⛅️🌳
2. Inform your family
Make sure that the people you live with understand what you have to do and when you have to do it. This will ensure you’re on the same page and they know when to give you your own space and time to study. Communication is key🔑
3. Stay in touch
Many of us have had to move home, which means leaving friends with an uncertainty of when you’ll see them again. Ensure that you stay in touch by scheduling in FaceTime or Zoom calls to stay in touch. Reach out to friends and check up on how they’re coping💘
4. Create a schedule
Now that learning has moved online, it’s important to create your own timetable as classes may not be running as they used to. Remember if you go off schedule, it’s not the end of the world. Rest days and breaks are just as important to maintain good mental health 🧠💕
5. Don’t be afraid to get help
Speaking of mental health, it’s so important now more than ever to look after yourself and your mind. Do not hesitate to reach out to your university and see what support they’re offering at this time.
There are many online services and resources students can access:
World Health Organisation (WHO) resource for dealing with stress:
Public Health England guidance:
